Practices
Practices are to help swimmers improve their strokes and learn new strokes - not a time to teach basic swim lessons. The ratio of coach to swimmer is typically too great to provide a one-on-one lesson experience. While we want to encourage younger children to swim and help them perfect their strokes, we do need to maintain a standard of eligibility to ensure that all swimmers receive adequate coaching.
Practice Protocol
- Be on time, have your goggles and be ready to swim!
- Swimmers should be good listeners and behave.
- Parents should stay away from the pool area. Please stay outside of the pool area completely to allow our coaches to run a smoother practice without interruptions.
- Do not talk to the coaches during practice. If you need to speak with them or have a concern, please wait to the end of practice to approach them.
- No children allowed in the baby pool or splash pad during practice.
