Practices

Practices are to help swimmers improve their strokes and learn new strokes - not a time to teach basic swim lessons. The ratio of coach to swimmer is typically too great to provide a one-on-one lesson experience. While we want to encourage younger children to swim and help them perfect their strokes, we do need to maintain a standard of eligibility to ensure that all swimmers receive adequate coaching.

Practice Protocol

  1. Be on time, have your goggles and be ready to swim!
  2. Swimmers should be good listeners and behave.
  3. Parents should stay away from the pool area. Please stay outside of the pool area completely to allow our coaches to run a smoother practice without interruptions.
  4. Do not talk to the coaches during practice. If you need to speak with them or have a concern, please wait to the end of practice to approach them.
  5. No children allowed in the baby pool or splash pad during practice.
