| Timer | None | Timers need to attend the timer meeting and ""huddle"" to log on to our swim meet management system at 5:30 before each meet. Timer 1 runs the stopwatch. Timer 2 records the time. |
| Bullpen Manager | None | Oversee swimmers between events and bring them to the
Deck Mgr three events before their event. |
| Master Recorder & Runner | None | Collect race times from each lane timer and record on a master scoresheet. Deliver master scoresheet to computer operator regularly. |
| Place Judge | None | Partner with opponent Place Judge to sit at the finishing end of the pool and record place order for each heat, to be used as the official ranking for scoring the meet. |
| Judges Recorder | None |
*Home Only* Place yourself behind the place judges with a copy of the Place Judge’s Form. After the race, record the places in the appropriate blocks based on the judges' and starter/referee’s decisions. For disqualified swimmers, write “DQ” in the place block. For swimmers who did not swim, write "NS" (No Show). Pass the completed form to the master recorder. Do not attempt to influence the place judges or their decisions. |
| Concessions | None |
*Home Only* Prepare and sell food items to raise money for the team, including some setup and cleanup, depending on your shift. Please note you will not be able to see the races from this position during your shift. |
| Grill | None |
*Home Only* Prepare hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill and run food to the concession table. Must be able to start prior to the meet (4:00pm). |
| Set Up / Clean Up | None |
*Home Only* Arrive approx. 1 hour before the meet to arrange furniture and help set up for the meet and concessions. After the meet spend approx 30 min cleaning up trash, moving tables and chairs back around pool, and restoring the pool to typical condition. |
| Volunteer Check-In | Experience Helps | Assist with checking in volunteers, explaining jobs, providing supplies, and collecting materials at the end of the night. Filling gaps and answering questions as needed. |
| Deck Manager | Experience Required | Organize swimmers on deck by heat and lane. Comfortable with fast paced, multitasking, and working with kids to keep them in line, guide them on when to approach blocks and when to be ready to start. |
| Announcer | Experience Required |

| Computer Operator | Training Required | Manages scoring/entry software throughout the meet in coordination with opposing team. May not be able to see the pool and ongoing races. Must be comfortable with data entry of each race time and finish. |
